There is no better way to dress up a simple outfit than to accessorize with great jewelry.  Regardless of what your jewelry preference is – either bold and bright, or simple and understated – choosing the right accessories to complement your outfit is a smart way to bring fashion into the workplace.

Statement Necklaces
Statement necklaces are big, bold and make an impact.  They are intended to be worn alone over a sweater or a dress, and paired with a simple, delicate bracelet, or petite earrings to highlight yet not take away from the art of the piece.  Statement necklaces are meant to cause attention and they are often like wearing art on an outfit.

Choose a statement necklace in either mixed metals, gold, silver or tungsten to wear over a t-shirt, sweater or dress to make a big impression.  Bib necklaces are also statement pieces that rest higher on the collar (though not like a choker) that are intended to be worn directly above the v-neckline and rest on the collarbone.  Choose a statement necklace that will enhance a basic sweater or t-shirt that you own, and you’ll be amazed at how well your wardrobe is instantly lifted.

Bracelet Layering
Layering multiple types of bracelets on your arm in complementary colors and materials is another way to dress up a workplace wardrobe without spending a lot of money on a new outfit.

If you have a silver-tone watch, pair a black or red bracelet in mixed metal materials with it, and wear a wrap bracelet on the same arm as well. “Arm party” is the new phrase used to describe bracelet layering, and depending on your style and personality, bracelet layering can either be simple and light, or big and bold.  If you have tungsten wedding bands, choose a metal such as gold or silver that will complement your rings nicely.

Drop Earrings
Drop earrings in many different colors make a statement such as bold necklaces do, but without the commitment of having to wear a big piece.  If you like the idea of eye-catching jewelry but are not ready for a big statement necklace, choose a pair of drop earrings that are sparkly, yet understated, or have a design that represents your unique style.

Drop earrings can be paired with simple pendants or long layering necklaces, as well as bold statement pieces if you prefer that look.  Tungsten wedding bands pair well with silver and graphite earrings – especially ones that have a pop of color.

Regardless of your personal style preferences, jewelry complements outfits in a way nothing else can.  Even if you’re wearing the most basic t-shirt and jeans, with the right necklace and earrings, you can instantly jazz up your workplace wardrobe.  Choose the right colors and materials that complement your outfit, and look for accessory versatility in mixed metals and designs that can be worn with many things.  For an example, pair your jewelry with your tungsten wedding bands for an added accessory impact.
